Chilling Tale for Halloween

There's a bridge called "Covert's Crossing" or "Covert's Bridge" up in New Castle. A young couple had gotten married on Halloween. Around midnight, they were riding in a horse drawn carriage across the bridge at the same time a car was. The bridge was only one lane, so by the time they saw each other it was too late. Story has it that they crashed and the hubcap of the car flew off, decapitating the bride. The police never found her head or the body of the groom. Its been said that if you sit on the bridge on Halloween night around midnight, you can see the headless bride standing on some rocks in the river.

Creatures created by our subconscious

These creatures are nightmarishly intimate, often created from human vice, or let loose by human greed. They show us the ugliness that underlies reality. They are the crawling things under the rock of the everyday, sane world.

Nature can be scary

Don't know what species of plant this is but if I rely on my botany background (which is non-existent), then my best guess is that it belongs to the phylum that you don't want to screw with!!

Seed of Darkness

Seed of Darkness weaves a spooky tale of the life of a single mother by choice who decides to undergo the "in-vitro fertilization process" in Singapore to have a child of her own. 7 years later, she moves into a new apartment and her child begins to behave oddly, much to the bafflement of her young mother. Her fear begins to mount when she finds her child frequently talking to herself and insist that she can see her non-existent father.

This movie's not very good, so I'm giving it a non-ghostly boo! But I like this pic.

Ah, the joys of giving birth

Personally, I believe new born babies can be pretty scary. They look so alien to me. After the doctor wipes off the streaks of blood and fluid from their bodies, then their cute. Anyways, this picture is from a scene in the movie, The Brood. In it, a psychotherapist, Oliver Reed, encourages his patients to allow their negative emotions (rage, fear, etc.) to cause their bodies to undergo radical physical change. A man verbally abused by his father develops welts over his body as a way of expressing his pain. Another patient develops lymphatic cancer, supposedly a manifestation of his self-hatred.

In this scene, it causes a woman, Samantha Eggar, to parthenogenetically give birth to strange, mutated children. She establishes a telepathic bond with them. Then the kids proceed to act out whatever negative emotions the mother is feeling at the time, with disastrous consequences when her therapist brings those emotions to the surface.

The Super Demonic Mario Brothers

I'm looking forward to playing the new Super Mario Galaxy. With the Mario franchise being so successful, I'm curious to know if the magic is still there with this recent release.
By the way, where does Mario go when he’s had a few too many ‘shrooms? Why, to the Mario landfill of course. This morbid drawing takes a look below the screen, and shows the horror that Nintendo opted to leave out. Aren’t infinite lives amazing? Reset.

Someone came correct!!

In the last image posted, I asked if the image was real and
Azzitizz said...

My first thought was a cute baby seal that had been culled for it's skin!
Hope I'm wrong.

Well I'm sorry buddy cuz you were right. That photograph shows a seal that has been skinned during the Canadian annual seal hunt. Alright this next image looks like a picture of Frankenstein's little brother. It was posted by a guy named Gary, thanks man. Continue sending images...

A little blood and gore

I don't know...It kinda looks like one of those aliens that the military found in Roswell New Mexico. It also seems apparent that their top-secret cover up must have gotten out of control, ending in a bloody mess. I'll need to investigate this matter further, but can you guess what this is? Is this some prop from a movie set or was this thing actually alive and real? Send comments please. Well that's all the images I have at the moment. Again, I must stress that people "please" send scary images. Also send a short (or long) comment for the image. Halloween is approaching.......

Thanks

"What an excellent day for an exorcism."

Now you have to love the classics. I believe Pazuzu, from The Exorcist, gave me my first frightening experience as a kid. But don't ask me why a kid should even be watching the The Exorcist.

Giant Weta

This is definitely the scariest bug in the world!!

Giant wetas are species of weta in the genus Deinacrida of the family Anostostomatidae. Giant wetas are endemic to New Zealand. There are 11 species of giant weta, most of which are significantly larger than other weta, despite already being large by insect standards. They are heavy insects with a body length of up to 10 cm (4 in) not inclusive of its lengthy legs and antennae, and weigh more than 70 g (2.5 oz), making it one of the heaviest documented insects in the world and heavier than a sparrow.

Just a little education for ya, from Wikipedia

Grandad NOOO!!

This next image is truly horrifying. It's so grotesque that you might want to wait a minute before eating another meal.

Marie Antoinette

First up is this lovely lady here. The "always beautiful" Marie Antoinette captures men's hearts with her remarkable gaze. Her slender physique is flawless. The eye-catching accessory that she holds only enhances her sexy qualities.
